City history.
The Municipal Historical Museum of Telêmaco Borba, Paraná, is devoted to preserving the historical, cultural and social memory of the city and the Tibagi River valley in the Campos Gerais, with objects, documents, photographs and pieces telling the story of the region's settlement and development. The museum was created by municipal law on 23 September 1975 and opened to the public on 17 March 1994. Its first collection came from the school museum of the Nossa Senhora de Fátima school; when the school closed, its director gave the collection to the city, which from 1993 adopted museum methods to organise it. The museum is housed in the Casa da Cultura, the Eloah Martins Quadrado Cultural Centre, and aims to safeguard local history and honour the city's pioneers, also serving school and academic research. It makes a short visit for those passing through the region; check times before going.
