A deep gorge carved by the Satsikvilo river in Imereti near the village of Gordi, about forty kilometres from Kutaisi, famous for a metal walkway fixed to the cliff face above the drop, where visitors walk between dense forest and the river rushing far below. The route starts at the visitor centre in Gordi and first follows a stone-paved path of about 2,300 metres through the historic Dadiani forest park, past trees, the ruins of the Dadiani family's palace and a church. Visitors then descend around 990 metal steps to the start of the hanging walkway. The walkway runs for about 780 metres along the cliff edge and ends in a twenty-metre panoramic platform hanging over the canyon, with a dramatic view of the river and forest beneath your feet. The whole route is about six kilometres and takes two to three hours; the first part can be driven. Tickets are 20 GEL for foreign adults and 12 GEL for citizens and residents, and it opens daily from 10 am to 5 pm. The season runs from April to November, walking is not allowed in rain or snow, and children under six are not admitted, per the Agency of Protected Areas. Not for anyone afraid of heights.
