The point where the Great Wall meets the Bohai Sea, a few kilometres south of the First Pass Under Heaven, named the «Old Dragon's Head» because the wall runs down into the water here like a dragon's head drinking from the sea. Visitors walk the wall to its stone tip in the waves and climb the fort and tower overlooking the sea and shore, with the wall rising behind them towards the mountains, one of the most famous views in China. Tickets cost about CNY 50 to 60 in season and less in winter, and the CNY 140 Shanhaiguan combined ticket includes it, per visitor guides.
