Jundiaí's City Park officially opened on 21 April 2004 and has become one of the city's landmarks and a favourite outing for locals and the region at weekends and holidays. It was built and is run by the city's water company around the reservoir that supplies Jundiaí, both for leisure and to stop irregular building around it. It covers about 500,000 square metres and draws some 500 people a day on weekdays, rising to about 5,000 at weekends and on holidays. It has 2.7 kilometres of walking and cycling routes, a path of about 4.5 kilometres linking it to the botanical garden, outdoor gyms, model car and aircraft areas, sports courts and a water sports centre. Next to it, the «Mundo das Crianças» children's park opened in 2020 on 170,000 square metres, with climbing walls, a tree house, trails and splash fountains. It makes a half-day family outing in nature.
