Matas do Segredo State Park protects a remnant of cerrado forest within the urban area of Campo Grande, capital of Mato Grosso do Sul, covering about 178 hectares in the north of the city. Guided trails lead through the woods to the springs of the Segredo stream, with chances to see birds and small animals along the way. A viewing deck and a suspension bridge add to the walk among the trees. Under a regulation issued by the state environment agency in February 2026, free guided visits run Tuesday to Friday in morning and afternoon slots by advance booking, while weekend visits are exceptional and need the park's authorisation. A visit takes about ninety minutes; wear clothing that covers the body, good shoes and insect repellent, and bring water.
