A large Warner Bros theme park in San Martín de la Vega, about 25 km south of Madrid. It is not a stop you slot into a day in the city — it is a full day out, planned on its own. The park is divided into Warner worlds: a DC superheroes section whose fast coasters are why most adults come, a cartoon village for younger children, a street in old Hollywood style, and live shows through the day. Next door, Parque Warner Beach opens in summer — a separate water park with its own ticket, so check whether yours covers it. Honestly: if you are travelling only with small children, the amusement park in Casa de Campo is easier, closer and done in half a day. Warner earns the trip if you specifically want big coasters, or your teenagers are attached to Batman and Superman. Getting there without a car: a Cercanías train from Madrid Puerta de Atocha, then a connecting bus to the gate, about an hour each way; check the current line number, interchange station and timetable on the park's official access page. Summer brings the longest opening hours, and weekends and holidays are the busiest.
