The Peak 2 Peak Gondola is a mountain lift at Whistler Blackcomb Resort in British Columbia, joining the side-by-side Whistler and Blackcomb mountains from Roundhouse Lodge to Rendezvous Lodge. It was the first lift to link the two, used by skiers in winter and sightseers through its operating seasons. Doppelmayr Garaventa built it in 2007 and 2008 at a cost of C$51 million. It held the record for the longest free span between towers, 3.03 km, until 2017. Sources say it is still the highest point above the ground in a gondola, at 436 m. It was the first three-cable lift of its type in North America. The ride is 4.4 km long and takes 11 minutes, with the red cabin floating over a deep forested valley and views of valleys and snowy peaks on the horizon. Both summits offer walking paths, viewpoints and cafes in summer, and ski runs in winter. On cloudy days the peaks can rise above the mist, which is a fine sight too. It is 5.3 km in a straight line from Whistler Village, and you first ride a lift from the village to the top. The line stops between seasons, as it did in September 2026, so check operating dates. It is far colder up high even in summer, so bring a jacket. Allow plenty of time for both mountains, so start early.

It reaches 436 m above ground, so it may not suit those with a strong fear of heights.
