Over the Steel Valley.
Pico do Ana Moura is a mountain in Timóteo in the Vale do Aço region of Minas Gerais and the highest point in the municipality, at 864 metres. It can be seen from many places across the Vale do Aço metropolitan area, with its towns of Ipatinga, Coronel Fabriciano and Timóteo. At the top there is a lookout, communication towers and a launch ramp for free flight, and the summit is open to visitors by a paved road, so it is easy to reach by car. From there the view opens over the Steel Valley, its towns, forests and surrounding hills. Other sports are practised on the mountain's slopes too, such as mountaineering, rappelling and trekking. The peak suits a short visit at sunset or on a clear morning, and combines well with the nearby Rio Doce State Park for a day in the region.
