Enseada is a beach close to central Ubatuba on São Paulo state's north coast, between Perequê Mirim and Toninhas, with tourist facilities and a wide, long strip of sand good for walking that draws water-sports fans for sailing and windsurfing. From one end the Ponta da Espia trail leads to Prainha da Enseada, Praia de Fora and other coves, ending at Godói or Tapiá beach; at the other end a lovely lookout faces Ubatuba's Corcovado peak. Some of these trails are best done with experienced guides. The beach suits a family day near town, with a walk on one of the short coastal trails to the neighbouring coves. Check water-quality bulletins before swimming.
