Toninhas is an urban beach in Ubatuba on São Paulo state's north coast, beside the Rio–Santos highway at km 56, about 1.2 kilometres long with fine white sand. According to the city, its left corner has a rocky shore and a lookout known as «Rock Point», with waves sought by surfers, and it is one of the central beaches used for surfing. Its right side has calmer waves and suits bathers. In 2025 municipal decrees set aside two public beach-tennis courts and a beach volleyball and footvolley court, free for all. The state environment agency samples the water opposite Avenida das Toninhas and publishes its rating weekly, and the marine protected area's plan counts the beach among Ubatuba's sensitive zones because of building and population growth. It suits a beach day, picking the right side for swimming.
