Arapuca Beach is a quiet beach in Conde on the southern coast of Paraíba, about thirty kilometres south of João Pessoa, in an area known for unspoilt beaches and coloured cliffs, next to the well-known Coqueirinho Beach. Arapuca's finest feature is its coloured cliffs, among the most famous on the Conde coast, with red, yellow and white layers carved by rain and wind. The beach has sand mixed with rounded pebbles, and rocks offshore that are exposed at low tide, leaving small pools among them. Surfers favour it for its regular waves. The beach suits those seeking nature and quiet away from crowded resorts, and walking its length at low tide to admire the cliffs from below. Facilities are few, so bring water and food and check the tide table before going. Take care with strong waves when swimming.
