A covered bridge over the Le'an River at Qinghua town in Wuyuan County, 140 metres long and 3.1 metres wide, resting on four piers of stacked stone whose upstream ends are pointed to split the current; wooden beams span the piers and carry a roofed gallery, taller above the piers, where passers-by rest and look out over the river. It takes its name from a line by the poet Li Bai describing two bridges reflected in the water like rainbows. Its age is disputed: a local book dates it to the Song dynasty, while the clan genealogy and the county annals say it was built in the eighteenth century, and it became a protected national monument in 2006. A flood in July 2020 washed away part of its deck while the piers held, and it was restored in 2021. Visitors walk the wooden gallery, cross the river on nearby stepping stones and watch the bridge reflected in the calm water between the hills. Tickets cost CNY 60, and the bridge is included in the Wuyuan combined pass, per visitor guides.
