A green hill park on the Yong River in Nanning, taking in eighteen small hills over 791 hectares; it is rated 5A, China's top grade for tourist attractions, and is one of the city's favourite places for a stroll. The mountain holds more than 1,100 tropical and subtropical plant species, 61 of them rare or endangered, such as cycads and tree ferns, with plant gardens, lakes and paths through the trees, while the Longxiang Tower on its summit looks out over the city and river, and the Guangxi Museum of Nationalities stands at its edge. Tickets cost CNY 20, and the park is open from 6 am until midnight, per visitor guides.

Guangxi cooking uses a lot of pork, including Nanning's famous laoyou noodles, so look for restaurants run by Hui Muslims under the halal sign, which the city does have.
