An educational forest park on the edge of the Kabili-Sepilok reserve, run by the Sabah Forestry Department, and one of the best places in Borneo to get to know the rainforest and watch birds. Its highlight is a walkway suspended above the trees linking observation towers that rise to canopy level, so you walk among the branches where birds and squirrels live, and may even glimpse an orangutan. Around the walkway are forest trails, a quiet lake, a Plant Discovery Garden of the region's distinctive plants, and an exhibition hall on the forest and its creatures. Birdwatchers love it for its hornbills and colourful forest birds, which are most active in the early morning. A foreign adult ticket is thirty ringgit, and twenty for children aged five to seventeen; payment is in cash only. It opens daily from eight in the morning to five in the afternoon, holidays included, and runs guided night walks for a separate fee. Come early in the morning, when the birds are active and the air cooler, and bring binoculars and water. It lies two kilometres from the orangutan centre, so make it your stop after the morning feeding there.

Yes if you love nature: the forest at night is another world of insects, frogs and nocturnal creatures, and flying squirrels sometimes appear. It is guided with a separate fee, so ask about times at the entrance.
