The Saltos del Tabay are a set of waterfalls on the Tabay stream near its mouth in the Paraná, in the town of Jardín América in Misiones province; the name is Guaraní for «small village». They form three neighbouring groups of falls ending in a closed gorge where a natural pool forms. The first group has small falls used for bathing, the second slightly higher falls also used for bathing, and the third runs over bedrock and is more dangerous. Dense Paraná rainforest covers the right bank, while the left holds the tourist complex: a concrete pool of various depths, a campsite, cabins and an open-air amphitheatre that hosts the Tourist Festival with concerts every January. There is a fee at the gate; it makes a pleasant summer day out, on the road between Posadas and Iguazú Falls.
