A world-class racing circuit about five and a half kilometres long near Kuala Lumpur International Airport, which hosted the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix from 1999 to 2017 and hosts the MotoGP motorcycle world championship and endurance and other car races through the year. It is known for its main grandstand with curving leaf-like roofs, its wide corners and two long straights, and its humidity and tropical rain, which make for hard races. On weekdays a guided tour takes you behind the scenes to places the public rarely sees, such as race control, the pit garages and the media centre, with a photo on the winners' podium. An adult ticket costs eighty ringgit, with tours Monday to Friday at ten in the morning and three in the afternoon, and group tours at weekends by booking. The circuit also has karting tracks where visitors can drive for a separate fee. It lies on the airport road, so you can visit on your arrival or departure day, or catch a race if one falls during your trip.
