Disney's theme park in Shanghai's Pudong district, opened on 16 June 2016, one of the newest Disney parks in the world and the largest in China, blending famous Disney characters with touches of Chinese culture. At its centre stands the Enchanted Storybook Castle, the tallest and largest Disney castle, ringed by themed lands including Treasure Cove with its famous pirate adventure, Tomorrowland with the fast TRON coaster, and the newer Zootopia. Evenings end with a huge light and fireworks show on the castle; children love the character meetings and parades, while older visitors find thrill rides counted among the best at any Disney park. Prices vary by date, from about CNY 475 to 799 for one day, per visitor guides. The metro goes straight there; pick a weekday outside school holidays and arrive at opening.
