An arts and crafts district set in the old Yuzhou porcelain factory, once one of Jingdezhen's big state porcelain works, keeping its sawtooth-roofed halls, tall chimneys, water tower and old coal-fired kilns, and now a magnet for young artists and makers from across China. It has a museum of porcelain industrial heritage with an original 81-metre tunnel kiln, telling the industry's story from 1904 to 2010, an art gallery of eight halls over 6,000 square metres, a weekend makers' market selling handmade ceramics, short pottery classes, cafés and shops, and it is rated 4A. Entry has always been free, per the Jingdezhen city government, and it is at its liveliest in the evening.
