A concrete arch bridge over the Tara River in northern Montenegro, built in 1937–40, stretching 365 m on five arches, the largest spanning 116 m, with its roadway 172 m above the river. It crosses the Tara canyon, one of the deepest in Europe, with towering rock walls, dense forest and blue-green water, inside the UNESCO-listed Durmitor National Park. The view from the bridge down into the canyon is breathtaking. Ziplines launch from beside it across the gorge, and rafting trips on the river's rapids start in the area. Crossing the bridge is free, with cafés and parking at either end. It's a natural stop on the road between Žabljak and the north, and summer is the rafting season.
