The Termas de Fiambalá are a hot-spring complex on the slopes of the Fiambalá range in western Catamarca province, with fourteen pools stepped down the hillside. Hot water spills almost naturally from one pool into the next, so the temperature changes from top to bottom. Desert rock and mountains surround the pools, and the view at night under clear skies is one of the best things about it. The complex has shade, tables, a café, changing rooms, showers, robe rental and cabins for overnight stays. Start with the cooler pools, stay fifteen to twenty minutes in each and keep drinking water. Since January 2026 visits run in set sessions, morning, afternoon and night, each with a visitor cap, so book or buy early in busy seasons. Fiambalá town, «house of the wind» in the native language, became known when it hosted the Dakar Rally several times.
