A national park in the Ao Luek area north of Krabi, famous for its enchanting water garden near the headquarters: natural pools of clear green water with small waterfalls tumbling between them over moss-covered limestone, under huge trees, like a garden from a fairy tale. The park also stretches to the coast, mangroves and limestone peaks, with well-known caves, some reached by kayak, among them Pee Hua Toe cave with its ancient rock paintings. Kayak tours through the mangroves between the limestone peaks leave from this area, among Krabi's loveliest calm activities. Entry for foreigners is about three hundred baht per adult and one hundred per child under the national parks schedule, and the park opens in daytime. Swimming in the pools is allowed at set spots. Make it a half day with a mangrove kayak tour nearby; it is loveliest in the dry season, when the water is clearest. Bring insect repellent and clothes that can get wet.

For lovers of quiet nature, yes, especially with the kayak tour, and it is less crowded than the Emerald Pool. If time is short, the Emerald Pool is better known.
