Universal's resort and theme park in Tongzhou, east Beijing, opened in September 2021; Universal Studios Beijing has seven themed lands: Hollywood, Jurassic World, Transformers, Minion Land, WaterWorld, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness, the only one of its kind in the world. Rides range from roller coasters to gentle family attractions, with shows, parades and evening lights, and Universal CityWalk outside the gates has shops and restaurants that open earlier and close later. One-day tickets change with the date, from about CNY 418 to 748, and Express passes cost extra; the park usually opens from 10 am to 8 pm, though hours vary by day, per visitor guides. Book ahead for weekends and holidays. Avoid the National Day holiday week, 1–7 October, when crowds are extreme.

Park restaurants are not halal-certified and pork is common, so ask about ingredients or choose vegetarian and fish dishes; Beijing has many Hui Muslim restaurants under the halal sign.
