A complex of three curving towers in Wangjing, between central Beijing and the Capital International Airport, designed by the Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and officially opened on 20 September 2014. It holds offices and shops; first drawn as two towers, it was redesigned as three lower ones. Its shimmering metal façades wrap in flowing horizontal bands without corners; one newspaper likened the towers to dancing Chinese fans, another to curved sails that seem to swim across the ground when seen from the air. Gardens, pools and footpaths surround them. Wandering the gardens and lower retail floors is free, the best photos come from the surrounding gardens when the façades catch the light, and it is one of Hadid's three Beijing works, with Galaxy SOHO and Leeza SOHO.
