Three huge natural limestone bridges over the Yangshui River in Wulong District, inside the Wulong Karst National Geology Park, part of the «South China Karst» UNESCO World Heritage Site. The bridges are named after dragons, Sky Dragon, Azure Dragon and Black Dragon, at the centre of a protected area of about twenty square kilometres that also holds two giant tiankeng sinkholes and a deep karst canyon. Visitors ride a glass lift down the canyon wall, then walk the canyon floor beneath the enormous rock arches past waterfalls and forest, where old timber houses built for a famous film stand in the valley. Tickets are about CNY 155 from March to October and 125 the rest of the year, including the lift and area buses, per visitor guides. The drive from Chongqing takes about three hours and the route has many steps, so set off early.
