A wetland park on the west bank of the Xiang River at the mouth of the Jin River, in the south of Changsha's Yuelu District. Work began in 2010, it opened to visitors in 2011, gained a high tourism rating in 2013 and became a national wetland park in 2019. Its lakes, channels and marshes are covered in water plants and reeds, crossed by boardwalks and bridges, and draw water birds, making it one of the city's calmest places for a walk, away from the bustle of the centre. Entry is free, its paths suit walking, cycling and family outings, and it is at its best early in the morning in spring and autumn.
