Korea's first cable car to cross the sea, opened in 2014 between Dolsan Park on Dolsando island and Jasan Park on the mainland, spanning the mouth of Yeosu harbour for about a kilometre and a half. Each way takes about a quarter of an hour, with the cabins hung high above the water and the ships. Some cabins have transparent glass floors, called crystal cabins, through which you see the ships and waves beneath your feet; they need a dearer ticket. From the cabins you see Odongdo island, Dolsan Bridge and the city on its hills. The best time to ride is the evening, when Dolsan Bridge is lit in changing colours and the harbour lights reflect on the water. Yeosu's night view is famous in Korea; the 2012 song «Yeosu Night Sea» made it a symbol of the city. The upper station in Dolsan Park has a deck over the bridge and harbour. The cabins run into the evening and may stop in strong wind, so check the official site before you go.
