A huge karst cave whose name means «Weaving Gold Cave», discovered in 1980; it runs on three levels for some 13.5 km and is believed to have the largest unsupported cave roof span in the world, and its halls hold more than 120 kinds of crystal formations, stalactites and stalagmites, the best known being the «Silver Rain Tree», a 17-metre transparent, flower-like crystal. The cave became a national scenic area in 1988 and is now part of a UNESCO Global Geopark; visitors follow a long route of walkways and many steps up and down through the lit halls. Tickets cost about CNY 148 in season and 138 off season, with real-name booking at least a day ahead, per visitor guides. The route inside is long with many steps, so wear comfortable shoes; the cave is about two and a half hours' drive from Guiyang.
