Zoomarine is the Algarve family's complete day: ocean park and funfair in one (1991) โ the famous dolphin shows in the great amphitheatre its beating heart, sea lions and birds of prey in rolling performances, tropical aquaria and sharks, then the swinging Eagle ride and pirate ship as rides, then an artificial sand beach with waves and pools โ one ticket covering all, so half a day never suffices. Its philosophy is declared rescue: an injured whale-and-turtle rescue centre works backstage (its teaching wing visitable), and ocean advocacy schools every show. Between Albufeira and Faro (40 minutes by car, seasonal shuttles from the resorts) โ come at opening to catch the full show timetable, and book summer online for real discounts. The swim-with-dolphins programme is a separate months-ahead booking for those who want it.
