A skyscraper in Abeno by Tennōji Station, 300 metres tall with 62 floors, Japan's tallest building from 2014 to 2023. It was completed on 7 March 2014, and its name comes from an old Japanese word meaning «to brighten, to clear up». The building holds one of Japan's largest department stores, a hotel, an art museum and restaurants, with the Harukas 300 observatory on floors 58 to 60. The observatory is a floor-to-ceiling glass hall looking over Osaka in every direction, with long views over the city and the bay on clear days. The top floor has an open-air atrium at its centre. Tickets are about 2,200 yen, and it opens 9:00-22:00 (last entry half an hour before closing), per visitor guides. Sunset and the night lights are the loveliest times, and the building connects directly to the train stations.
