A modern yacht marina at the northern end of Agadir beach, at the foot of the kasbah hill and near the fishing port, surrounded by white residential buildings in a Moroccan-Mediterranean style with arches, balconies and tiled roofs. A promenade wraps around the harbour, lined with restaurants, cafés and shops selling clothes, crafts and sweets, overlooking rows of yachts and sailing boats; in the evening it becomes one of the city's nicest places to stroll and dine, as the buildings light up and reflections shimmer on the water. Boat and yacht trips along the coast and fishing trips leave from the marina. Nearby are the fishing port and its market, where fresh fish is grilled in simple restaurants. Walking around the marina is free, and restaurants cost a little more than in the city centre. It is a few minutes' walk from the beach and its promenade.
