Autoworld is among Europe's most beautiful car museums, in the huge south hall of the Cinquantenaire complex — an 1880 exhibition hall with a vast iron-and-glass roof worthy of what lies beneath: more than 300 historic cars arranged chronologically from the first self-propelled carriages (1886) to the luxury and sports cars of the twentieth century. The collection's heart is the famous Mahy collection: rare Belgian cars (Minerva, FN, Impéria — from when Belgium was a major manufacturer), Rolls-Royces, Bugattis, Cadillacs and Belgian royal cars, plus motorcycles. Themed temporary exhibitions (racing cars, cinema, a single marque) renew constantly. In the Cinquantenaire with the Art & History Museum and the Military Museum — combine them on a museum day. Open daily, longer hours at weekends.
