A scenic road along Dalian's south coast, 32 km long, running from Haizhiyun Square in the east to Xinghai Square in the west in east, middle and west sections, winding between cliffs, woods and sea; it is counted among China's finest coastal roads. The views follow one another along it: Bangchui Island, the «Eighteen Bends», where the road climbs and dips over the hills with a «magic slope» at the top that tricks the eye so uphill looks like downhill, the Beidaqiao suspension bridge between Tiger Beach and the Yanwoling hills, and beaches and cliff-edge boardwalks. The road is entirely free, as are most sights along it, while Tiger Beach Ocean Park is ticketed, per visitor guides; it can be driven, cycled or walked in parts, and it is loveliest in summer and early autumn.
