The Cachoeira da Primavera, the «Spring» waterfall, lies in the Muritiba Municipal Natural Park, also known as the Serrano, about three kilometres from Lençóis in the Chapada Diamantina. Its flow is fairly gentle, and its water is pure but dark, stained by leaves and plant matter in the stream bed. The waterfall is on the Grisante stream, the last stop on a walking route that starts in town and passes the Salão de Areias Coloridas, the coloured-sand cave whose sands fill the sand bottles sold as souvenirs, then the Poço Halley and the Lençóis lookout before reaching the falls. The journalist Vanessa Brunt called it the waterfall most like an enchanted world, for anyone seeking fairy-tale scenery: plants cover the rocks around the drop, and the rocks create shady nooks like little grottoes. The route is fairly easy and suits half a day from Lençóis without a guide; take care on slippery rock.

Usually not; the route is close to town and fairly easy.
