Muritiba Municipal Nature Park is a reserve in Lençóis in the Chapada Diamantina, also called «Serrano» because the Serrano River runs through it. One of its main draws is the Primavera («Spring») waterfall, prized for being close to town and easy to reach, two kilometres along the trail to the Serrano. Besides the fall it has many pools with natural «hydromassage», where water rushes between the rocks, the «Lençóis lookout» over the town, the «Cachoeirinha» and other falls, and rock formations that draw visitors. The river was long used by the town's washerwomen. In 2022 Lençóis introduced a visitor fee for the reserve, as part of a plan to manage its use, waste collection and irregular building. It suits a short walk straight from town without a car; check the current fee.
