A large amusement park in the Chimelong resort in Panyu, south Guangzhou, opened in April 2006, with more than 60 rides spread over about 60 hectares among tropical trees; it belongs to the same resort as the Chimelong Safari Park, a water park and a circus. It is known for its roller coasters, among them the dive coaster opened in 2008, about 61 m tall and reaching 105 km/h, alongside a giant pendulum, spinning rides, water rides and gentle family rides, with shows on its squares and stages. A bridge links it to the water park next door. Tickets are CNY 250, or 188 for evening entry after 4.20 pm, and it is open from about 9.30 am to 6 pm on weekdays and to 7 pm at weekends, per visitor guides. The metro reaches Hanxi Changlong station nearby.
