The bandstand of Praça Bernardino Bahia is a historic landmark in central Feira de Santana, Bahia, built in 1915 on the orders of the intendant Colonel Bernardino Bahia, after whom the square is named, as the city's first bandstand. It went up in the same year the nearby municipal market opened, at a time when Feira de Santana, the trading town at the crossroads of the cattle routes of inland Bahia, was organising and embellishing its centre. Little is known about the square's old furnishings, which seem to have been simple, limited to lamp posts. The Bahia state heritage institute listed it in 2002. It makes a short photo stop on a walk through the city centre, a few steps from the Popular Art Market.
