The tour ends with a tasting included in the price, and nobody is obliged to drink it. But the nature of the place and the whole content of the tour is beer production, so if that is uncomfortable it is better to skip the visit rather than sit through a full tour about a product that does not interest you.
The Groeninge Museum of early Flemish painting, St John's Hospital with its Memling collection, the Belfry, the Basilica of the Holy Blood, and the quiet Beguinage. All are clearly stronger as sights and more connected to the actual history of Bruges.

A family brewery in central Bruges working since 1856, and the last active brewery inside the historic city after the others closed or moved out. Stating it plainly: this is an alcohol producer, and the tour ends with a tasting. Anyone who avoids alcohol entirely should not come here, and Bruges offers far stronger alternatives such as the Groeninge, St John's Hospital and the Belfry. What gets it mentioned regardless is an unusual piece of engineering: in 2016 a pipeline more than three kilometres long was laid under the city's streets to carry the product from the brewery in the centre to a bottling plant outside it, instead of running lorries through the narrow lanes. It was the first solution of its kind and is widely cited in historic-city engineering. The tour includes a climb to the building's roof with a good view over Bruges, and the staircase is narrow and steep and unsuitable for anyone who struggles with stairs.
