Steam train.
Antonina Railway Station is a historic building in the old coastal town of Antonina on Paranaguá Bay. It was built in 1916 after a fire destroyed the earlier structure, and was the terminus of the Morretes–Antonina line, a branch of the famous Curitiba railway down to the coast. The station worked until January 1977, when the railway network closed it. The building then stood neglected for years before a restoration covering the roof, wiring, plumbing and windows turned it into a cultural space hosting exhibitions. The Maria Fumaça steam train rides between Antonina and Morretes leave from the station; one travel guide calls it the oldest working steam train in Brazil. The station is close to Antonina's historic centre, so the two combine well on foot; check exhibition and train schedules before going.
