A cultural park that brings Song-dynasty Kaifeng back to life, modelled on Zhang Zeduan's famous scroll «Along the River During the Qingming Festival» and built to the official building manual of that era; it opened on 28 October 1998 and is rated 5A, China's top grade. It covers more than 600 mu, some 40 hectares laced with water; visitors cross the wooden Rainbow Bridge as in the painting, wander among markets, crafts and palaces, and watch performances in Song costume throughout the day, and in the evening the large «Dongjing Menghua» show plays out on the water. The day ticket costs CNY 120 from 9 am to 5.30 pm and the evening ticket CNY 80 until 9 pm, with the big evening show ticketed separately from CNY 199, per visitor guides. Check for the halal sign before eating at its restaurants.
