The Moinho Povos Unidos, «United Peoples Windmill», is the tallest windmill in Latin America at 38.5 metres and the symbol of Holambra, the town founded by Dutch immigrants in São Paulo state. It opened on 12 July 2008 to mark sixty years of Dutch immigration there, after twenty months of building under the Dutch architect Jan Heijdra. Inside are five floors you can climb to see the mill's workings and the view around it. Tickets are R$18 and R$9 reduced, and it opens Wednesday to Sunday and on holidays 10:00-17:00.
