Shenzhen's tallest building and China's second tallest after the Shanghai Tower, a 115-storey, 599.1 m skyscraper completed in 2017 in the heart of the Futian business district, with offices, a hotel and an upmarket mall. On floor 116 is the Free Sky observation deck, 562.5 m up, which set a record at opening for the highest observation deck inside a building, with a 360-degree view of the whole city. From the deck Shenzhen's towers stretch to the horizon, Shenzhen Bay and its bridges appear, and on clear days the hills of Hong Kong show across the border; the deck has interactive sections and see-through floors. The deck costs about CNY 200, per visitor guides. Pick a clear day, as haze often hides the view; just before sunset is best, to see the city by day and lit up.
