Usually not on a short visit. Porto is rich in historic sights and museums, and the planetarium is aimed mainly at families and school groups. If astronomy is a particular interest of yours, that changes it.

A planetarium belonging to the University of Porto, on its campus west of the centre, operating today as a science centre open to the public alongside its teaching role. The programme is built on dome shows: sessions projected onto the vaulted ceiling about the solar system, galaxies and space exploration, some aimed at children and some at adults. Interactive exhibits on physics and astronomy sit alongside them. One decisive practical point: shows are given in Portuguese most of the time, and English sessions may be available at set times or with translation. Check the language of the session before booking, because the show is primarily spoken and you will get little from it without understanding it. This is essentially a family destination, and suits a rainy day with children. For an adult visitor with a few days in Porto, the historic sights and museums clearly come first. The location is on the university campus within a reasonable distance of the Crystal Palace gardens.
