Frankly not much: the ticket is steep and the exhibits are for the young — adults do better with the free view from the road, or nearby Golden Bay beach.

A film set that became a theme park: the wooden village of Sweethaven was built on Anchor Bay in northern Malta in 1980 for the Popeye film starring Robin Williams — twenty leaning, coloured houses raised by a hundred and sixty craftsmen in seven months — and after filming it was simply left in place, becoming one of the island's most visited sights. Today it is a full family park: the houses open with exhibits about the film, costumed performers give shows, a cinema screens the movie, there are children's rides, small boats touring the bay, sea pools in summer and photo platforms over the turquoise water. It is aimed mainly at children, with adults coming for the scene: the cliff-ringed bay with its coloured houses is among the most photographed things in Malta — visible free from the road above for anyone who only wants the picture.
