Laranjeiras is Balneário Camboriú's second beach, a small bay about 750 metres long ringed by Atlantic Forest, with calm water that makes it a favourite with families. The best-known way there is the Unipraias cable car, which links two beaches over the hill and is one of the city's trademarks. The cable car leaves from Barra Sul station at the end of Central Beach and climbs to Mata Atlântica station on the hilltop, where an environmental park has trails, viewpoints and a chocolate house, then drops down to Laranjeiras station on the beach. The park has paid extras such as the ZipRider zipline at about R$78. Cable-car tickets are R$80 for ages 11-59, R$40 for children 6-10 and over-60s, free up to 5, valid for one return trip the same day; cabins hold six and may be shared. It runs daily about 9:30-17:30, with the last departure at 16:30.
