A group of tombs and mosques built by the sultans of the Qutb Shahi dynasty in the Ibrahim Bagh garden near Golconda Fort, among the finest examples of Indo-Islamic architecture and the Qutb Shahi style of the Deccan. The larger tombs stand on raised two-storey platforms ringed by arcades and are crowned by huge domes once covered in blue and green tiles, of which only a few pieces remain; at the centre of each is a sarcophagus over the real grave in a crypt below. The complex has been extensively restored in recent years, bringing back the splendour of its tombs, gardens and mosques; it also has old baths and water tanks, and looks its best early in the morning or before sunset, when the stone glows. The entry fee is small, but visitor guides disagree on the figure, so check at the counter. It's about 2 km from Golconda Fort, so the two fit easily into half a day.
