A large aquarium at the foot of the CN Tower in downtown Toronto, opened in 2013, home to thousands of sea creatures from oceans, lakes and rivers around the world, in modern interactive galleries that suit families and children. Its best-known feature is the long glass tunnel beneath the Dangerous Lagoon tank, where visitors ride a moving walkway as sharks, sawfish, sea turtles and rays swim above and around them, as if on the ocean floor. The aquarium also has a jellyfish gallery lit in changing colours, touch pools with rays and crabs, a penguin exhibit, colourful coral reef fish, a giant octopus and play areas for small children. Entry is by timed ticket, with prices on the official site, and booking ahead is advised at weekends. It is usually combined with the neighbouring CN Tower in one day.
