As a rest on the way from the station to the old town, yes — ten minutes on a bench by the lake. As a destination, no. For Antwerp's finer parks: Middelheim (free sculpture) to the south, and the Nachtegalenpark beside it.

The Stadspark is central Antwerp's main public park: a green triangle of 1869 created on the site of the old Spanish ramparts (their moats became the park's long winding lake) in the English style with curving paths, small hills, a suspension bridge over the lake and tall veteran trees — the district's lung between the Meir, the diamond quarter and Central Station. It holds the huge First World War memorial, playgrounds, running paths, a lake with birds and a summer café. Sunday mornings bring family strolls and runners, summers bring open-air concerts. Not a sight, but a natural green rest on the way between the station and the old town via the Meir. Free and always open — 10 minutes from Central Station, for resting and families.
