The first park at Universal Orlando Resort, opened on 7 June 1990, with rides and shows based on film, television and the entertainment industry. It was later joined by Islands of Adventure in 1999, Volcano Bay and Epic Universe in 2025. Visitors enter through the famous arched gateway bearing the studio's name, then wander streets styled on New York, San Francisco and London, among film sets and rides recreating famous movies. Its best-known area is Diagon Alley from the world of Harry Potter, linked by the Hogwarts Express train to Hogsmeade in neighbouring Islands of Adventure, along with 3D simulator rides and live shows. One-day, one-park tickets start from about $124 and vary by date, per visitor guides, and the train between the two parks needs a ticket for both. Give it a full day.
