The White Drin Waterfall is one of western Kosovo's finest natural sights, dropping 25 metres at the source of the White Drin river on Zhleb mountain in the Albanian Alps, near the village of Radavc about 11 kilometres from Peja. Green mountain scenery surrounds it, and there are smaller falls nearby. A short distance away is Radavc Cave, also called the Sleeping Beauty Cave, a spring cave formed by the White Drin's underground waters in limestone, with stalactites, stalagmites, passages and large chambers. The waterfall, the cave and the spring were protected together as a natural monument in 1983, over about 90 hectares. Paths and steps climb to the waterfall from the car park, and reaching it is free; the cave is visited with a guide from the local caving society for a small fee, so check its times before you go. The waterfall can run low in late summer, as its water is also used for power and drinking.
