A museum in a white building shaped like an opening lotus flower on the Marina Bay Sands waterfront, opened on 17 February 2011, the largest private museum in Singapore, with exhibitions blending art, science, culture and technology. It hosts touring shows from museums around the world alongside a permanent exhibition by the art collective teamLab, «Future World», an immersive, interactive experience of light and digital projection that suits families and children. Beside it runs the Helix Bridge, a pedestrian bridge whose spiral design is inspired by the double helix of DNA; lit at night, it links Marina Bay Sands with the rest of the bay and gives a lovely view of the museum and skyline. Ticket prices depend on the exhibition, while walking the bridge and seeing the building from outside are free. The best view of the building is from the bridge or the bayfront promenade at sunset.
